 Introduction
The concept of mortgage broking is relatively new to Jamaica. While
there are several direct opportunities for persons purchasing or
refinancing real estate to access financing, in many of the cases the
purchasers are not very knowledgeable on the details or intricacies of
accessing a mortgage. They therefore find the process difficult and
confusing.
First Mortgage Brokers (Jamaica) Ltd. (FMB) has been established with
its mandate being to satisfy the unfilled need and demand for a central
entity, to coordinate the mortgage origination processes i.e. the
mortgage application and accessing mortgage financing, on behalf of the
prospective purchaser.
Our Concept
FMB was incorporated on June 28, 2005 as a limited liability
company. The company was established with its core objective being to
act as mortgage brokers and advisors. The company commenced operations
on October 1, 2005 and operate out of offices at 1 Tremaine Road,
Kingston 6, providing services to clients island-wide but with
particular emphasis on Kingston & St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Manchester,
St. James & St Ann.
